04:45 pm - Adam... Last night, while driving home from the gym, my 6-year-old asked me, "Hey, isn't that Adam?" He had made our local top-40 radio station's Top 8 at 8 pm. Can I tell you how irrationally proud I was for him? I so want him to do well, and my newest Rolling Stone put him in the Disappointments of 2009, which made me angry, as his CD has just released. I don't think that's a fair assessment. At least he's getting radio airplay!
Here's the latest clip from his new video:

ETA: Second clip. He looks stunning, IMO.

08:42 pm - Adam on SYTYCD
I thought Adam sounded fabulous. On a shallow note, loved the SPATS! and eye make-up but please get rid of the Black-goo-climbing-over-his shoulder! I guess I'm just not fashion-forward, lol. What did you all think???

04:41 pm - Adam on the View In case you really want to see a photo of the ladies on the view: http://watching-tv.ew.com/2009/12/07/adam-lambert-the-view/
Otherwise, I'll spare you...
This morning on The View, Barbara Walters said that this Thursday’s appearance by Adam Lambert will be taped in advance, rather than live-to-tape as usual, “because people seem to be afraid of what he’ll do.”
Sherri Shepherd laughed at this excessive caution. “Why?” she asked. “Is he gonna take one of our heads and grind it into his crotch?”
Joy Behar, perhaps feeling a tad faint as this image entered her mind, said, “I wish he would. I’d like to see it up close.”
And although no one asked her, Elisabeth Hasselbeck said, “The only thing I was against was him sticking his hand up the woman’s crotch” during the American Music Awards.
Hate to say it, but it’s true: These are the times when one misses Rosie O’Donnell on The View… .
LOL as the idiocy continues with the pretaping, as well as Joy Behar's comment above. Is she the redhead?

02:29 pm - ABC stands of Absolutely Bonkers Crazy http://www.okmagazine.com/2009/11/gma-books-chris-brown-after-canceling-adam-lambert/
Seriously, ABC should just take out a billboard inviting mockery.
And, on that note,
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to those celebrating today! I love you all! Thanks for letting me rant just a little. :D

10:27 pm - Adam My initial reaction was that he had to be so very nervous, because his voice sounded totally off to me. I also think he tripped but recovered so beautifully. I loved the beginning, loved him kissing his keyboardist, and loved the suit. I'm speechless, really. Any reactions...?
From Rolling Stone: Rolling Stone didn’t label Lambert the Wild Idol for nothing, and Glambert definitely delivered on his promise of a “sexy” performance as he closed the live show with simulated oral sex from a male backup dancer, a brief makeout session with his male keyboardist and a mirrored prop so the audience could see the look on their own shocked faces.

06:15 pm - I LOVE THESE...

Many more laughter inducing cake wrecks at www.cakewrecks.com. I absolutely adore these. My current fav is the "Happy Birthday" cake with RIP tombstones on it. LOVELY!
On a slightly less sweet and delicious note, I have been reading some fanfic lately, which usually makes me so happy. Anyway, I was reading a fic that began well. I loved the first chapter, in which the couple was getting established. Once the pair was "together," the author unleashed a huge string of "baby", "honey", "schnookums", and tears the likes I've never seen before. So, I had to cheer myself up with the cake wrecks and thought I'd share. :D

08:24 pm - Thrill the World
Yes, I'm going to do this at our local Thrill the World event tomorrow, even though I have two left feet and should've been practicing for weeks. Wish me luck, everyone!
BTW, Thrill the World is an annual world-wide event in which we all dance Thriller simultaneously to try to break the Guinness World record. Most of the local events also benefit a charity of the organizers' choice. I particularly wanted to go this year to honor Michael Jackson.

08:29 pm - Glee Flist, if you are not watching Glee, do not stop, do not pass go, go directly to Fox and watch it!
Jane Lynch rules the world.
For example:
"You think this is hard? Try filling your own cavity, that's hard!" "You think this is hard? I'm living with hepatitis, that's hard!" "You think this is hard? Try being waterboarded, that's hard!"
Or how about?
"Let me be the one to break the silence. That was the most offensive thing I have seen in 20 years of teaching and that includes an elementary school production of "Hair."

OR
How about SPN? "morethanbrothers.net?" Srsly, laughed all night. Because I totally would've had that in my browser history.

06:30 am - AI Concert Hey all, I dragged my husband along to the AI concert last evening. The venue was pleasantly full, and people were talking excitedly as we walked in and gave our tickets. We had nosebleed, upper level seats, but still could see well. I was impressed by the Idols as a group, and especially enjoyed Matt and Scott more than I expected to. Lil Rounds was losing her voice and sounded strained. I felt bad for her! Adam blew me away, as I expected, and Kris Allen sounded fantastic. Adam seemed so absolutley comfortable on stage; his dancing looked effortless and he sounded great. I was not a huge Kris fan before the show, but I think I will get his album, along with Adam's, when it comes out in November. Kris played both piano and guitar during his set and seemed, like Adam, completely relaxed.
My section was a HUGE, Gigantic FAIL. The people on the floor looked like they were up and dancing, or at least clapping enthusiastically at the end of the songs. No one in my section stood up, ever. Not for Danny Gokey (who is considered local), not for Adam, and not for Kris. Not for the finale! I stood and danced through Adam's entire set, until the woman behind me asked me to sit down! The woman next to me texted the entire time and never looked up. I just hope that none of the Idols noticed the lameness in the upper levels.
I kept thinking how happy I'll be if Adam tours to promote his new album. I might have to drive to Chicago, though, or pay for floor seats, so that I can dance next go around! Current Mood: tired

11:59 am - Can't...stop...laughing.... If Gokey had given the concert the atmosphere of a religious revival, then it most definitely sounded like the Second Coming of Jesus during Lambert’s 15 minutes. His fierce voice and his honed ability to connect with the crowd justified all the hype.
Someone who gets it, apparently. I go to the AI concert in 2 short weeks. Please pray for me that my babysitter comes through.
